On May 16, 2026, Operation Vet NOW (OVN) returns to Jennerstown Speedway for a powerful evening of remembrance and racing as we honor the service members from our region who were killed in action during Operation Desert Storm and the War in Afghanistan. This year marks the 35th anniversary of Desert Storm and the 25th anniversary of the War in Afghanistan—two defining conflicts that shaped a generation of Veterans and families across our communities.
This special Armed Forces Day event will feature a moving opening ceremony and heartfelt tributes to our local heroes, ensuring their service and sacrifice are never forgotten. As part of the tribute, the stories and names of these fallen heroes will be carried throughout the night—embedded into the fabric of the event and honored by all in attendance.
In addition to remembrance, OVN remains committed to addressing the ongoing challenge of Veteran suicide through proactive engagement. Several Veteran service organizations will be on-site, along with the VA Mobile Vet Center, providing direct access to resources, peer connection, and support. These organizations are here to meet Veterans where they are—because no Veteran should ever have to fight their battles alone.
